amscene1 Posted November 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2015 I remember once seeing a special "platinum line" in the port Miami terminal when disembarking. Does any such "skip the customs line" still exist when getting off the ship?

SuiteTraveler Posted November 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2015 For Haven, you can get off the ship earlier than any other passengers via the concierge, but you must go through customs if in the US. But going through the concierge to get off early typically means you are in the first 20 or so off the ship so you can make a much earlier flight home, if desired. LrgPizza Posted November 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2015 Department of Homeland Security couldn't care less if you are platinum, blue, or fuzzy purple. Everyone goes through customs. Thank goodness.

Julesp313 Posted November 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2015 Yep to the previous posters - we just got back from the Breakaway yesterday, were one of the first off the ship thanks to the Haven priority walk-off/carry your own stuff option, and were through customs in maybe 15 minutes. The Haven priority got us past the other walk-off passengers but once we were inside the customs area, it was one line for everyone - still very efficient and easy. I think from leaving the Haven lounge to getting into a yellow cab was maybe 30-40 minutes at the most - certainly not a pain like I was dreading! vince_g Posted November 23, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2015 It's my favorite perk... skipping that long line waiting to go down to baggage claim.

Rare BirdTravels Posted November 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 23, 2015 The concierge will get you to the front of the ship's security line. But, if you are not the earliest of early birds, you still end up queuing for Immigration and Customs.
HMK8273 Posted November 24, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 24, 2015 In Manhattan, you get escorted off the ship by the concierge and/or a butler to the exit on the ship and then you can walk to the front of the line for a Haven line where you get to go down the escalators or elevator before the walkoffs - they don't hold up the line until you get to glass doors and they ask for your room key - so don't hide it until you are through customs - that helps you cut to the front of the line also for customs - something I just learned in early November.
