Kamloops50 Posted December 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2015 I am in an interior spa cabin on Brreze. My husband has a Cpap machine. Does anyone know what size extension cord we will need? I use a CPAP as well . I usually carry a light cord about 12 feet long. I never take those cheap ones made in China. I bought from Walmart a 12 ft 3 cond #16 extension cord. :)
zqvol Posted December 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 24, 2015 (edited) I am in an interior spa cabin on Brreze. My husband has a Cpap machine. Does anyone know what size extension cord we will need? A 12 - 15 foot cord will be fine. Bring a heavy duty one to avoid over heating that might occur with a light weight one. cruiseonthebrain Posted December 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2015 We bring a brand new good quality 12 foot cord for my DH. Not trying to preach at all, but fire is the biggest danger aboard a ship and we certainly would not want to be the cause. I really wish CCL would engineer a scenario so we did not need the cord at all. I have tripped on it twice.

springs741 Posted December 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2015 There is a plug behind the bed. Those lamps are plugged into something......
Kamloops50 Posted December 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 24, 2015 The socket behind the bed for the lights is 220VAC. Most CPAP's come with 120VAC American plugs . There isn't enough outlets behind the bed anyway.
evandbob Posted December 24, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 24, 2015 in my 60+ years of life, I have never seen an extension cord catch fire The wiring in the walls of a ship will probably catch fire before an extension cord, true. It's the amperage draw that heats up the wires and likely to cause a fire. I doubt that a ship's wiring, if placed in a NYC apartment building could pass electrical and building safety codes. grannycroozer Posted December 24, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 24, 2015 When I talked with the Guest Access dept about bringing our CPaps, I was told to bring a 3 pronged extension cord for each one.
