infinity?

I'm considering the Dutch Antilles cruise 10/27/16 on infinity. Used to silly sized ship. Any advice or opinions out there. Should I or shouldn't I?

We did the Panama Canal on Infinity and just loved her. We stayed in one of the "Sweet Sixteen" cabins with the twice-as-large balconies and it was great!

A few years ago Cruise Critic Florida departures board sent me to SAS transport, a transfer service from Port of Miami to FLL. Worked out great, about $15 per person each way. Check them out and check out departures board. Found a great deal for a Miami hotel there. Super helpful people there!

We used SAS last April from FLL to Miami port. $15 p/p and 100% satisfied. Right on time too.

She's my favorite ship of all times, although the S class ships are a close second.

We have sailed in an inside, OV, balcony and family size veranda ... the latter of these being the absolute best room in which we've had the pleasure to get.

But even the inside cabin on this ship was simply fantastic.

I posted a review ... very specific ... back in Sept. if you want to know all the things I love about the Infinity. There is also one about 3 years back that I also posted about her...also in Sept. Since we've sailed on her, they have done some major refurbishment ... so now probably even better.

I'm really excited. Can't wait until our cruise. Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at your reviews.

I've been looking at the deck plans for Infinity and can't find Quasar. Any ideas? Is it gone? in the casino? So small it's not on the deck plans?

Just off a B2B of 29 nights on the Infinity. If there is a Quasar it was well hidden as I did not see it. Where would it have been?

No Clue. On S Class it's Portside forward across from Celebrity Central. I'm only asking because I was looking at pictures on the Celebrity website and it showed a picture of happenings in Quasar. There was a pic with the caption Quasar. Can't find it now. Nevermind.

Hi, seeing as how you are just off the Infinity, I was wondering how she is looking after drydock? I'm looking at the Panama Canal cruises on this ship.

I've only been on two other ships recently and they were the newer mega ships (Royal Princess & Norwegian Breakaway). I'd like to try this cruiseline/ship but wondering if it will come up short in comparison due to age.

Also, if we go ahead and book, do you have any advice on balcony cabins? Best locations, decks, categories, etc. and which ones have oversized balconies. We love to hangout in our "private space" :D so balcony size/view is important.

Thanks so much!!!

The recent dry dock for the Infinity was for a few specific areas. It was not a major overhaul of the entire ship. The updates included work on the TPool area, adding The Rooftop Terrace (still not fully completed during our cruise) and replacing the United States restaurant with Tuscan Grill. I think some carpets were replaced, though more needs to be replaced. Also, there were some changes to some suites.

The ship is older, and it shows in some places, but nothing to impact our enjoyment of the cruise.

As for cabins, we love the Aqua class on deck 11 for that area of the ship and for access to Blu, do not have much experience with other categories. The CC stickies on M Class information is a goldmine of info on individual cabins.
