bttravel Posted January 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2016 What can I expect in the line of "perks" since I'm booked in an Ocean Suite on Carnival Conquest. I hope something.

riffatsea Posted January 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2016 You'll have a lovely cabin and priority embarkation and debarkation. We enjoyed our Conquest suite very much! We usually book balconies but we are now hooked on suites!!
jerseyjjs Posted January 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2016 My mother just had a GRAND suite on the Conquest last month. Her perks?.....priority embarkation and a 1-liter bottle of water!
Linda the Book Lover Posted January 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) I have stayed in a suite twice. We received the free bottle of water as a member of the VIFP club. Priority embarkation and debarkation are the only perks. We did FTTF one time which included priority tendering, priority dinner reservations, and the ability to use the the priority line at Guest Services. The suite gives you more room and the balcony was nice enough to allow two loungers but we opted for a chair, lounger, and table. There is no Butler or Concierge. Miller_KC Posted January 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2016 It is my believe based on very limited experience that the best room stewards get assigned to the suites.
cruiseonthebrain Posted January 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2016 It is my believe based on very limited experience that the best room stewards get assigned to the suites. I agree with this. We usually book suites- not a lot of "perks" per se but we find the extra room and larger balconies worth it. Two suite cruises ago our senior cabin steward (we've always had two in suites) told us that- at least on that Carnival ship- suite stewards were assigned by seniority, experience and performance. The suite cabin stewards had fewer cabins assigned, but our head steward had to carry a cell phone or walkie 24/7.

Kentucky816 Posted January 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 4, 2016 If you want perks for a suite go with RCL or X ,there you get something. Just priority boarding and more room. We like extra room so we book suites on carnival.

bttravel Posted January 5, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Thanks for the help. This suite business may be a one time deal but I wouldn't mine trying another line in the future. I've been on both Royal and NCL and liked both.
