Yes I tend to believe there must have been some mistake happen for his refrigerator to be empty. If it's somebody's first cruise it's a reasonable assumption on their part to assume that the refrigerators are always empty but indeed they never are, unless unloaded by the room steward usually at passenger request.

Agree. Maybe the passengers in the cabin before him asked the steward to empty it and the steward then forgot to refill it.

in oct and the fridge had a full set up in it, or nearly so, about 4 beers, several mini bottles of liquor and some coke products and a few cans of juice

on the fantasy class ships the regular rooms don't have fridges, at least the ships we have been on, the verandah suites do, but the last time we were up there the fridge was empty but all the wine glasses and full glasswear setup was up in the cabinet, just no mini bar

we always take a couple bottles of wine with us, and often get the wine and fruit basket, but after the last cruise, the santa crapolina was really bad! so I think we'll pass on the feb cruise on the basket entirely

In the adults only area:

No towel on a chair, unless a pax is sitting in it-

that's right- no saving chairs on the serenity deck !!

JUST imagine:::: walking in to the serenity area, just imagine it !!!

If this was instituted on a cruise ship,- I would book it .

You forgot, people who like to preach to other people on what they think it right and wrong

My pet peeve is people who just stand around chatting and not realizing people are trying to get through. Even after politely saying excuse me they still just stand there.

So, people are not allowed to stand or chat while on vacation? 4000 people on the ship and they are all suposed to know to stay out of your way?

We are a family of 4 two kids (8and13)We also cruised the Sunshine the 27th, my pet peeve is the lack of hot tubs and pools. 3 hot tubs is simply not enough for a ship this size and only one in the Serenity area is ridiculous at best, only twice was I able to enjoy once at 7 am and 8pm as that was when they were relatively empty. And please heat the Serenity pool no one enjoys a cold dip!

Also, the free champagne served on New Year's needs to end. The amount of drunk underage drinkers because of the free champagne caused quite a few altercations two of which I witnessed with teenagers mouthing off to adults and reaching onto tables to grab drinks. It is not worth it, the champagne is not even very good and I am sure the adults can do without it to reduce the kids getting drunk. Of course, this leads into the pet peeve of supremely bad parenting of which you see alot of on this holiday cruises.

Other than that this ship has the best food I have had at Sea the choices are endless and tasty. We would go back as we really like this ship and we have cruised the Breeze, which we also loved and would go back.

OK, YOU do not speak for everyone. Maybe for some people, jumping in the cool water after baking in the Caribbean sun is just fantastic. Maybe, if the pool was heated for YOU, it would lessen the enjoyment THEY have on the cruise.

And perhaps instead of cutting out free champagne for everyone, people should watch their own teenage kids and make sure they don't drink? Maybe I LIKE a free glass of champagne and don't want to give it up so that other people can pretend their teens are not little punks.

YOU are just one of thousands of passengers on that ship, and you don't get to have every single aspect of your trip exactly as you want it at the expense of others. THAT is my gripe.

but when we get out of our chairs, to get into the pool what would we do with our towels?

throw them down on deck?

At our rec center they have hooks along the wall, complete with numbers above. Another solution would be small cubbies for storing items while swimming.

I think that's just crazy. Now people can't leave their deck chairs if we want to take a swim. That is really just too much.

If you people that complain about not being able to get a deck chair would get out of bed before noon, you might have better success

Leaving to take a swim is one thing, placing items on a chair on deck at 8 AM and not showing up until 2 PM is a problem.

You want to take a swim? Socialize with those in the chair next to you. On several cruises sea days I find a spot, plop myself down and stay pretty much all day. If I have to get up, I speak with the person(s) next to me and say, "I'm going to the restroom, brb", "I'm going to cool off for a second in the pool, brb", I'm going to get me something to eat, brb". I'm out of my chair for maybe 20 mins at the most. Those next to me give me the courtesy of "saving" my spot, and I reciprocate.

A 4 oz glass of wine!!??!! That's not a glass - that's a splash in the bottom of my glass.:p Does anyone drink just 4 oz of wine? Seriously though, even the standard restaurant pour (which always looks skimpy to me) is 5 oz. I've never heard of a 4 oz glass of wine. Hmmm, perhaps I drink too much wine.:o:p

Haha! At Christmas, my stepson (25 yr) asked where my wine stoppers were. I said wine stoppers? For what? There's no such thing as left over wine!

My only Peeve is the cattle calls that people cause because they either won't listen or want to be first.

Our last cruise on Magic, docking in Cozumel, the CD advised people to wait until the ship was docked and cleared before proceeding to deck 1 for debarkation. There was a line fwd up the stairs to deck 3 for people waiting and hour before the clear was given. Blocking emergency exit routes before we were docked.

On Triumph in 2011, my daughter was bumped and fell down a couple flights of stairs because people stampeded into the dining room. We were not waiting to enter, we waited until 5 mins after the time to enter.

End of cruise debarkation, people do not wait until they are called. I've seen a mob trying to get off the ship. I know these people are not Plat or Diamond. Maybe FTTF, but wait until your section is called.

OK my rant is done.

This would be one of my pet peeves ... go when you are told to go. Our thanksgiving cruise we were self disembarking.... people with zone 32 tags were trying to get off the boat (with no luggage) ... and tried to argue with the carnival workers. Some made it through .... people picking up luggage from the last zone group in port. GRRR.

New Year's Eve was crazy. Can't believe how many people were on Lido deck and how many champagne glasses were being handed out. Not sure about the speeding back but the ride out on Dec 26th was quite bumpy the first few days.

Great cruise though.

Last new year's eve (2014), they gave few champagne when we boarded (12/28). DH and I had some ... then a few more. Then it was a game to walk the promenade to see how many we could drink. We never made it to dinner! Bahahaha! We had fun though.

I live in Baltimore, very close to the port. There's no "situation" here. There were riots, almost a year ago, not near at all where the port is. It's in our past. There's much more to the city than that. And it seems to me the port has plenty of customers - and not just from Carnival.

I understand there's a restriction on available ships for Baltimore Ports due to the bridges.

I've seen this happen at the end of some entertainment show when everyone is trying to leave but have no place to go because those who have exited stand right outside blocking all exit points. I think that's what is meant here.

Hahahaha!! Some of these are unfortunately the joys of "public transportation ". If only people would watch their children, be considerate of others, not be disrespectful, and just have some dang common sense, this world would be a better place!

Just returned from the Dec 27th sailing on the Sunshine.

If you were to write to Carnival to ask them to improve a certain aspect of the cruise experience, what would you suggest.

Mine would start with the following:

- Ban smoking in the casinos

- better control over people that want to have long, loud conversations outside my room during nighttime or nap time (thanks to people in cabin 9169)

- ban large human beings from being able to spend over 6 hours in the serenity hot tub with non stop buckets of beer served (I think you know what I'm getting at).

- please please please STOP doing the Wobble song/dance

Anybody else have something?

Smoking in Casinos isn't going to go away. As an ex-smoker I'm not thrilled about being around smokers but it's part of it. Play poker if you want to be in a non-smoking area.

Loud conversations are definitely annoying outside your room. Sounds like you had a bad neighbour problem like me. Problem is when I first complained they made it worse and then threatened us physically after we called security again. Sometimes you can really end up handcuffed based on who's staying next door.

This isn't Carnival's fault per se, but I guess my pet peeve is when people take their sweet time getting to the safety drill, leaving the rest of us to stand there even longer waiting for them. Last time it took us 45 minutes because we had to wait for some people to saunter over at their leisure. It was extremely hot and everyone was miserable. NO ONE wants to be there, so just get there quickly so we can get it over with and on to the fun!

Golfin 55 - sorry I want my bed made up! And lots of fresh towels. Nobody does that for me at home - that is one of my Perks!

Get into the hot tubs and stand and start jogging on the spot - soon everyone will leave, and you have the tub to yourself. If that does not work, start singing some random songs.

Not one to sit the pool deck for hours, I often use a "held" chair - put their junk to the table beside or on the deck - often use the chair for 1/2 hour or more and nobody shows up - if they do, I take my time to collect myself and gradually move on - never say I a sorry - I am not!

If you go around looking to find something wrong, you will find it - just go with the flow - you are not home, you are on "vacation" !!

Regarding the toilet paper just double it use more lol I use charman and yes, I have to agree the toilet paper is very fine, perhaps a reason so it doesn't clog in the toilet but nobody is telling you how much to use lol

Please don't use Charmin on the ship. We had our toilet in our room stop working twice. Once was in the early AM because of our neighbors and the other was a whole day because the whole system was clogged. Both from what we were told was because someone was using something other the thin toilet paper to flush. The toilet tissue is thin because it is biodegrades easily.

Thank you, that's what I'm saying. Please don't stand in the pathway, if you want to chat move off to the side just don't block the way for others to get by.
