Embarkation time for Jewel out of Los Angeles

I was told that embarkation began at 12:00 and ended at 2:00 with departure scheduled for 4:00 pm....

 

Then today one of my daughters e docs reads that for Haven and Platinum guest we can arrive at 9:30.....does this mean only for checking in? Just curious as to what the earliest is that we can actually BOARD the ship. I really do NOT want to be sitting in that little lounge very long!

 

Any recent Jewel passengers that were in Haven check in - your input would be appreciated!

I thought someone said that they boarded at 11:15 or 1130. Noon seems late. I've always boarded before noon even without haven access.

Boarding usually begins sometime after 11 A.M., with Haven passengers boarding first.

 

The actual time boarding begins on how long it takes to clear passengers from the previous cruise and permission is given to begin boarding.

Just got off the Jewel on Sunday -- we arrived around 10:45, were in the lounge just long enough to visit the restroom, have a quick snack, and then they were passing out the packets and started boarding. We were one of the first escorted to Modernos (based on number of empty tables, and people arriving after us to the restaurant). I would say 10:30 is a good target time to arrive at the port.
