naz022292 Posted January 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) There are cabanas, villas, and then one "Oasis". The Oasis is about $1500 and comes with the Chef and Bartender. The other two do not. There are bartenders that walk along the beach and stop by the cabanas and villas to take orders. A tip is included in any beverages they bring (you can still tip more if you want). If you stay in a cabana or villa, you go get your own food from the buffet. You can take it back to your unit. If you're staying in the private oasis, I'm jealous!!! Unfortunately, I can't answer about the tipping for that because I've never had that opportunity to get the Oasis! No where did it say tip was included, so we tipped them cash at the end of the day. Well worth it, they did a great job for us. There is a chef, bartender, person doing general clean up and getting you anything you need, as well as a security/ life guard person.

kona_wahine Posted January 16, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 16, 2016 We had one of the cabanas and they came around at the end I tipped I think $10. My thinking is, well, I should tip. They do set up, bring the stuff, then clean up the leftover food at the end.

There r all different workers from Carnival cruise ships working there for us. Is tip included? Tip according to what you are comfortable with. Depending on how the service was also. does it just have a bartender and chef. If so with 12 people you should be able to divide up the tip. If the service was good and only 2 people to tip, we would leave at least $120 in cash and divide between the 2 staff according to what we felt each deserved. Divided up thats only $10 each. If there were more involved then 2 staff would leave a little more. That's what we would do.
cb at sea Posted January 16, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 16, 2016 If no one does anything for you, there is no need to tip! If they bring drinks, or procure things you need, a tip is in order. You do NOT need to tip simply for renting a cabana!
Micahs Grandad Posted January 16, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 16, 2016 I would ask someone on the ship probably at excursion desk if tip is included and than go from there.
Just Another Member Posted January 16, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 16, 2016 Our roll call rented the Oasis. There was 24 of us and every person tipped $10. We gave it to the lead person coordinating the Oasis and she split it among all the other employees working the Oasis - bartender, chefs, housekeeping, etc. I would not tip any on a cabana rental. I don't see the need.
