chaz cruiser Posted January 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2016 Does anyone know if you are able to take bottled drinks onboard the voyager out of Sydney? Thinking small bottles of Coke Zero for my sister to help the money stretch a little further with the rising USD!! Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted January 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2016 Theoretically you can only take 1 bottle of wine per person on RCI ... ... However we took a slab of bottled water on our March cruise. I just stuck luggage labels on it and most of it (minus one bottle) ended up with the rest of our luggage in the foyer nearest our cabin - for some reason they didn't place the luggage outside or in our cabin. Not sure about soft drinks though.

For the loading process they sometimes have one group delivering the luggage to the foyers, then take them separately to individual cabins. It may have been that you found it before it had reached your cabin. As for the soft drink, officially, and usually no. But sometimes they get through. Not a big problem except someone helped themselves to one of our water bottles in the interim.
Haoie Posted January 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I'm interested in how strictly the no soda policy is enforced.

If someone can spending money on a cruise, they don't need to be stealing other's property...

Some people just don't care, they probably thought they were being "clever".
