Titan_Cruiser Posted January 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Once I get on board what is the process to purchase one of the new Internet packages? Do I go to the guest services desk or the Internet cafe or somewhere else?
jhusemann Posted January 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2016 There was a flyer on our bed at check in that gave detailed instructions.
Hoosierpop Posted January 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2016 You'll connect to the Carnival wifi and then just follow the instructions for selecting the package you want. No need to go anywhere.
vwrestler171 Posted January 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Just connect to the Carnival wifi on your device and when you try to go to a website it will ask you to log in or create an account.
RNsoon2beNP Posted January 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Can more than one person use the wifi? Or do you have to purchase it for each device?
xpanmanx Posted January 19, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2016 I have a related topic here -- http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2302861 Maybe you folks know the answer. When the purchase instructions are displayed onscreen, is there a way to keep my kiddos from purchasing Internet access?
Hoosierpop Posted January 19, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Can more than one person use the wifi? Or do you have to purchase it for each device? Only one person at a time per purchase. Let's say you get it on your phone. If your spouse then logs in under the same login, the portfolio number you used when buying it, it will bump your phone off. Hope I'm describing that correctly. PCHENG Posted January 19, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Once on the ship, you can link to Carnival Wifi and purchase your internet package. You will be asked to select your internet option and enter the folio number on your S&S card, and your onboard account will be automatically charged the package price. You can upgrade to a higher speed package anytime during the cruise, but the price will not get pro-rated. Once you have purchased the internet package, you just enter your folio number and last name (or is it room number?), and you are good to go. Only one device can log on at any given time. A second device logged in using the same folio number will bump the first device off the internet. Edited January 19, 2016 by PCHENG
RNsoon2beNP Posted January 19, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 19, 2016 ^ thanks Another question, say we decide to add the WiFi, day 3 of a 6 day cruise. Will I be charged for 3 days or the length of the cruise regardless?
Rare mitsugirly Posted January 19, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 19, 2016 So this is just for the internet and not the social app correct? (We will probably purchase both). Good information. Thanks :)
