Independence of the Seas Boarding Time

My cruise documents say that boarding time is from 12p-3p. Does it really start that late? I'll be arriving at FLL on a redeye at 5:45a and will need to kill time with a 3 year old and 1 year old until then. I was really hoping to be on the ship by 11 or so.

You can go to the port at any time - when you get to board will depend on how quickly they clear the ship for that. Could be even earlier than 11, but it could be later (like if they have a noro scrub down).

Is this at all influenced by your Crown and Anchor status? Like us, we have NO C and A status, could we still board at any time? (Very excited to get to get the party started !)

This was one of the later boarding times I found..was close to 12 before they opened the gates and by this time there were hundreds and hundreds lined up waiting to board.

My experience's with other ships and ports is that around 11ish you can be on board.
