Unexpected Additional Charges.

Recommended Posts

I booked a cruise with Royal Caribbean in October last year.

I have since been making weekly payments.

Today, again I went in to my RCC account to make another payment and noticed an additional $510 had been added to our fare. When I went in to fare breakdown I noticed $510 pre-tips had been added.

Im certain The pre-tips were added when I first made my deposit.

And why add it in all of a sudden 3 months later when I had already been making additional payments.

Has anyone else had this happen? I don't understand why they have been added now with out notice or permission?

I have always had troubles with RCC.

Every time you make a payment you would have been emailed an updated itinary.

Make sure you keep them. Pays to check your onboard credit and stuff like that every so often. From experience I would take a hard copy with you on the cruise just in case they bugger it up.

Have an awesome holiday!

Also keep an eye on your account once on board.

A few times I've had things on my account that weren't mine.

The funniest one was one cruise I had a drinks package as a perk, and a vodka shows up. As a non-drinker it stod out to me. Didn't bother about it. I assume (and that's all it is) that the batman rand my Iet Coke on someone else's account and his vodka on mine.

Or said baseman was bumping his sales a tad.

Guess he may even have snuck a nip for himself.
