KMorley2003 Posted January 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I am thinking of booking a Aqua class cabin on the Eclipse any suggestions on cabin numbers? Thanks in advance Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
cocker2 Posted January 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2016 IMO the better ones are near mid ships. No noise from elevators as there is an extra door between them and your cabin. We usually book those on the slant so we get extra balcony space but depending how far out you are booking they may be booked by now. Hope this helps. az_tchr Posted January 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Again some like the various cabins that provide a great view aft. Can be a bit noisier but wonderful balconies! Those would be my first choice except on a TA or TP.
minidonuts85 Posted January 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Not sure how the Reflection layout coordinates with the Eclipse, but we had 1546 (A2, Fwd) last week and booked it again for a future cruise. Right past the lifeboats so you have a clear view down, cabins above, easy access to the spa and solarium where we spent a majority of our time. Gordoncruickshank Posted January 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2016 The best AQ cabins are this on the middle hump with the one nearest to the flat of the hump and the one two down having the biggest balconies.
BosoxI Posted January 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) In December we had 1571 on the Christmas cruise, an A1. Then for New Year's we moved to 1624, an A2. We think 1624 was the better cabin, right next to a suite, nearer the elevators, and the sun actually hits the balcony. I like the forward hump cabins but don't expect to sunbathe on them Edited January 24, 2016 by BosoxI
GordonJasmine Posted January 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2016 Has anyone had #1502? We will in April. Is the bed by the balcony door? Thanks!
TeaBag Posted January 29, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2016 We had 1599 for the Baltics. Nice big balcony on the hump.
justcrusn Posted January 29, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2016 Your first choice is A1 or A2. A2 is cheaper, at the front and rear. A1 is presumably a better cabin, based on the price, but we prefer the A2 cabins. The A1 cabins (mostly) have an extension above you for the pool deck that blocks your view of the sky. We really missed seeing the stars and moon at night from our balcony. If you choose an A2 in the front there are two nice perks, the famous "secret staircase" near cabin 1520 that is a quick way up to the aqua spa and solarium. The other one is the relaxation room at the front of the ship a wonderful place to watch pulling into port for example. We have stayed in 1504 and found it interesting to watch the officers at work in the wing at the front of the ship. We also noticed an occasional, loud thump. perhaps from the gym above, but only every once in awhile. It was never an issue for sleeping.
