I don't know anything about them, but their prices are defiantly cheaper on the same policy's. Cant find many reviews about them.

I don't know how they could sell the exact same policy more cheaply than the insurance company.

Somehow you are not comparing the exact same policies (which is easy to do with the variety of titles and names that get slapped on various policies-Gold Plus Trip Protector Cruise and Travel Extended Worldwide Luxury Plan). It is illegal for a broker to sell the same policy at a different price.

Use the comparison/aggregator sites for shopping but always purchase directly wiht the travel insurance company. If you have a service issue or worse, a claim, you want to have direct Customer Service.

This comparison site is more clear: http://travel-insurance-review.toptenreviews.com/

Our experience, with two large claims, is that it was *extremely* helpful to have the folks from TripInsuranceStore.com helping us with the claim.

The insurance (a regulated industry) itself costs the same whether purchased "directly" from the insurer or from an insurance broker, who can be extremely helpful (especially for those new to insurance, as we were once, like everyone else) in figuring out exactly which policy from which insurer will best suit the needs of "this specific trip".

Note: We have NO affiliation with TripInsuranceStore except for being very satisfied customers, as are many other CruiseCritic members.

This is what I was comparing: tripinsurancestore--Travelsafe Classic $294 and tripinsurancezone--Travelsafe Classic $184....Both Travelsafe Classic......We decided to go with tripinsurancestore...If it's too good to be true' date=' it probably is!!![/quote']

The default entry on trip insurance zone is total trip cost. The default entry on trip insurance store is per person cost. If you entered the same number on both sites you are comparing two differently priced trips, which will have different costs. (Not picking on you, but this board sees statements such as this every few months, and sure enough, when we dig deeper we find it's apples and oranges, not apples and apples, ;) ) But you won't go wrong with Steve, his site is very helpful, too.
