Not a big fan of amusement park rides on a cruise ship. But that is just me.....;)

Lol it does have that new cool Sky Ride that takes people all around the outside rail around the whole ship....Looks really cool and I'll be doing it in October

They had mock up of it when they did the announcement for the Vista in NY. While it was cool, probably would be a once and done on the Vista when we sail her in July.

He is a funny and very nice fellow.

 

However he does have a history of announcing a big announcement and than it turns out to be very hum hum. Nothing wrong with good nature goofing around with him.

 

Just be glad he didn't call it brilliant because somehow when that term is used it always ends up being something very bad for the majority of us cruisers!

I'm guessing it's something to do with China and a new Carnival ship going to be there.

 

In today's Los Angeles Times Business section there was a large article about the cruise ship industry becoming huge in China and mentions Carnival as well as other lines

The Sunshine is going to China because the word sunshine in Chinese is very lucky and the casino is one that the Chinese would really like.

Could be but still think it is strange that other cruise lines build new ships for the Chinese market and so far CCL plans to send older ships.

Rumor has it that the announcement will be at 10 am but it has been changed to tell us there will be an announcement in 26 days.:)

Sounds like announcing another ship. Or maybe regular sails to Cuba.

It must have something to do with the military. On his FB page he asked about military being allowed to wear their dress uniforms in the MDR and then said something about the motel being full of military in uniform. Said it would be perfect for his announcement.
