Family Promenade staterooms?

I have searched, and only find reviews, so sorry if I missed something somewhere.

Have cruised on NCL and CC, looking at RCL for the great family aspects for our first family cruise. Looking at the Freedom of the seas, and see they have the family promenade staterooms, but when I do a fake booking, I don`t get it as an option. (looking for over the New years for 2016 or 2017, so imputing December 2016) Am I missing an option or are they not available anymore??

only available by phone since website limits you to 4 passengers. i think you need at least 5 in the room

Correct - as it holds more than 4 it will not show on the mock bookings.

 

They may allow less than 5 for the actual booking but it needs to be done as you say by phone. We've had 4 in a family ocean view stateroom that holds up to 6 but had to do the booking over the phone.

So then, if we only have 3 people, the normal promenade only holds 2 according to website, as do the regular insides.... so then what can I book???

There are insides that hold 3 and 4 guests.

I've seen some You Tube Vids that show 3 people in that room

Must have Been close to Sail Date and they Wanted to Fill the Room
