Cruiser3620 Posted January 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2016 For those who have sailed on the Miracle what is the typical time early debarkation begins. I am looking at a return flight home out of LAX departing at 12:10. Trying to decide if there is adequate time for this flight.
SadieN Posted January 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Carnival recommends 1p could make it if you have a lower number or self assist all your luggage. LAX is 30 minutes from port on a good day. Longer if anything happens, including sprinkles. Need the two hours to get thru security etc. Which terminal? Taxis can take shortcuts but there are none for those terminals at the top of the horseshoe, such as the one for American.
Host Walt Posted January 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Depends on the day of the week. On a regular work day, traffic up the 405 is usually pretty bad and the alternate routes are very unpredictable. 12:10 is cutting it close. On a weekend, however, 12:10 is not unrealistic. vwrestler171 Posted January 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2016 On our last trip, we were at LAX around 9:30, and could have gotten there earlier. I would think that if you do self assist you should be fine getting there for that flight. One person in our group had an 11:30 flight and made it easily. When we got off the Miracle last year it was crazy. One fella was takin away cause he got so irate cause the luggage was late.
riffatsea Posted January 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2016 The very last people get off the ship around 10 AM. Carrying your own luggage off and taking a taxi should get you to the airport by that time so you could easily make a 12:10 flight.

Debarkation day is a Saturday and I have priority debarkation so can be one of the first off the ship. I haven't flown thru LAX in a long time and wasn't sure how long I would need to allow to get to the airport and for going thru security etc... Missileer Posted January 31, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 31, 2016 We have cruised the Miracle 11 times and with one exception the ship is tied up at Long Beach by 0700 and debark begins before 0800. You should have no trouble making a noon flight at LAX even with some traffic.
Rosefloater Posted February 15, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Just got off the ship on Saturday. Debarkation was delayed due to fog by about 30 minutes. We did Platinum self-assist and were out of the dome by 8:45.
