arkiesgirl Posted February 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Does anyone have any updated info on Lindquist Beach on St. Thomas? Is it considered safe? Fees? Transportation? Any info would be appreciated. Edited February 2, 2016 by arkiesgirl

arkiesgirl Posted February 4, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Thanks for the response! I'm happy to see that it's being protected but I hope it doesn't become crowded...that was the appeal.
blue_water Posted February 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2016 JUst hop a safari taxi at the dock going to the East End beaches (Sapphire and Coki) and tell the driver where you're going. $10pp each way, very safe, and arguably the nicest beach on the island. It is getting busier now that it's part of the park system but still worth a visit.

Froufie Posted February 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2016 Interested in hearing more - is there a cost to enter the park/beach? Any facilities? (e.g. washrooms/chair rentals/food/drinks?)
atgood Posted February 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Interested in hearing more - is there a cost to enter the park/beach? Any facilities? (e.g. washrooms/chair rentals/food/drinks?) We went there in late 2013 and the fee for two of us was $4 total. No washrooms, only porta-pottys. I don't recall seeing food vendors or chair rental. There were a few locals and one other couple vacationing there. It was one of the nicest beaches we've ever been to if you want to avoid the crowd. White sand beach and crystal clear, calm blue water (with a sandy entrance) was what I remember most. The only rocks I recall were on the opposite ends of the beach. Perhaps things have changed since then, but don't go there to people watch b/c there won't be many. Hope this helps. atgood
blue_water Posted February 7, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) Uptick in cruise ship excursions to Lindqvist has been relatively recent but still worth going, just pack a lunch from Gourmet Gallery, hop a taxi and lay on your towel on the sand. imluvncruzn Posted February 10, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Are there chair and umbrella rentals?
Ms411 Posted February 10, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 10, 2016 There isn't a legal concession yet for chair rentals so there may be someone offering chairs under the table. There were plans for chair rentals, but not implemented yet. Who knows when? Best to plan on no chairs. Umbrellas not needed. Plenty of shade. Froufie Posted February 15, 2016 #16 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Given the fact that there will be 3 LARGE ships in port and we are the last to arrive (11 am) I have decided upon Secret Harbour - and was able to reserve loungers/umbrella thru AA divers! :)
