3 in a balcony cabin: can you get an extra balcony chair?

Just wondering. We have a larger balcony cabin, so room on the balcony is definitely not an issue.

 

Is it as simple as asking your steward?

It's as simple as taking the vanity chair onto the balcony! If you have an aft balcony, there will be plenty of seating. If it's side balcony, then 2 of the provided chairs will be about all that can fit on a standard balcony.

My experience has been that balcony size varies a lot. On some, two chairs just barely fit--on others there's plenty of room for three.

 

When we had three people in a balcony cabin on NCL recently, we simply asked our steward nicely for a third chair, accompanying the request with a modest tip. The extra chair appeared in less than half an hour. I can't imagine it would be very different on Royal Caribbean.

We've had regular sized balcony rooms for 3 adults and have always asked for a 3rd chair from our room steward. Never a problem. :D

Speak to the stateroom attendant. If they can swing it, they will. Occasionally they tell us it's now allowed.

Standard balconies are around 40 square feet and have two chairs. If you have a cabin with such large balcony I would think there would already be more than two chairs. The aft balconies on many ships are often odd shaped and larger (personally like aft balconies) and have always had more than two chairs already there. If you don't have a third chair you could request one from your steward.
