Does anyone recieve free cruises anymore and them not be sold out before you even get the offer? So frustrated with carnival and how they have up pricing on cruising and not giving offer

Like they use to and Yes we have the Play.😡😡

I got a BB offer for a free inside room. Not planning of going to any cruise this year because we just booked a Hawaiian cruise next year. My husband said just to look and see. I was able to use it but pay for an upgrade. Captain's Suite Carnival Valor, Sept 4, 2016. Sweet!!!

Nice upgrade. Enjoy your Captain's Suite. I had one on the Sunshine and it was wonderful. I have to ask you, can you find out what is available for the bounce backs on line or do you have to call your PVP. I used to have no problem calling my PVP and booking them. I just got a bounce back offer from my last cruise, I called immediately andl there is nothing available. I find they are making it harder and harder to use them.

I know the difference between a bounce back offer and a Premier Cruise offer. I get the Premier Cruise offers under my offers on the Carnival website. I also get bounce back offers. When you have another cruise booked, (like I usually do) you do not get a letter under your door the last night of the cruise. You have to call or email the casino department to get your bounce back offer. Then they tell you what you qualify for, when you need to book it by and when you need to take it by, My question was, is there a place on carnival's website where you can see what cruises are available for the bounce back offers that you get, because lately when you call to book a bounce back offer, you are told there is nothing available for the cruise you are interested in.

I found all the offers on line and there was a lot to choose from. I can even use it for Vista if I wanted to. We just want to try the Captain's Suite even if we have to pay for an upgrade.

Nothing is Free

1 point = $1 dollar.

about 2000 points may get you a BB or a free cruise

2000 points is about $2000.00 dollars

House always has the advantage.

I just booked a 7 day past guest rate for 745 Dollars

I can book 3 cruises with what one would spend in the casino to get one free one. Maybe i am missing something here again nothing is free

I'm not sure where you got your point system from, but it's not correct for slots. For the slots 1 point = 2.50 played. Tables have a different rating system.

However, even using your analogy, it is only $2,000.00 dollars RISKED, not $2,000.00 lost. My DH received a BB offer from the casino on our March Splendor cruise. He didn't play any slots and spend 3-4 hours a day playing BJ. Over the course of the cruise he lost somewhere between $300-400. The cruise we booked was valued at over $800.00 each, so $1,600.00 - $400.00 lost, we still made out by $1,200.00. Sounds like a good deal to me, as we would play BJ in the casino even if we weren't being given offers :)

You ARE missing something. You aren't a gambler or married to one? If you KNOW that you or your SO are going to spend the majority of their free time in the casino...you KNOW there will be a loss. The FREE comes in when the room is 'paid' for by the cruise line if you went on another line and it was NOT...you'd STILL LOSE the SAME amount of money in the casino but STILL PAY for the room.

Example... a bounce back offer of FREE cruise... room no charge...lose $2000 in casino. OTHER cruise line...room cost $1500 + loss in casino same $2000 means...I've already LOST $1500 by going on the competitor.

It's about entertainment and how to maximize your chosen entertainments value. We don't spend our time by the pool collecting rays for later doctor bills for our extremely fair wrinkle free complexions. We spend that money NOW in the casino. The ship is a floating casino for most of us getting 'free' cruises.

Another thing people are missing is that if I have a budget of $500 day & my husband has a $500 day budget... typically one of us loses our budget and the other profits. If I buy in for $500 and in the course of the day 'win' $1000, the casino sees a total of $1500 play if I leave with only $500 and a $1000 'loss' for the day. But, I see it as I have broken even if I have my original $500 at the end of the night in the safe. :D I actually see it as a WIN if it only costs me $2500 per cruise for both of us!

I get to cruise more often with these Carnival offers. I used to take ONE cruise a year on Royal. Last year, I took FOUR cruises for the same amount of money. It's hard to turn down a 'free' cruise if you can get the time off to take it.

This statement is not actually true. I was on the Magic last week and have a cruise booked in October 2016 and the Casino Host gave me a BB letter while I was in the Casino instead of sending it to my room. It's a different code BBC8 which allows you to book another casino cruise offer or use it for additional benefits on your currently booked cruise. It specifically says: "We're excited that you've already made plans for another Carnival Cruise...."

My first time getting this offer so I will call later today to get all the details. Hope this helps.

Keep checking up until your BB offer expires. More availability may open up. It did for me.

I also received a BBC6 offer on my last cruise. We already had 2 more cruises booked this year, but I still got a letter. When I called, I had until the end of December to sail and they gave me at least 12 different cruises to choose from. Unfortunately, we just couldn't make the dates line up to sail again. The lady that I spoke with told me to e-mail casino@carnival.com because I was still entitled to a gift on my next cruise that was already booked.

It only took 1 day to hear back and they requested me to send a copy of my letter. I sent a picture and heard back again the next day. They said that I will receive some casino cash on my November cruise. Its not as much as a free cruise, but I'm not complaining.

What?!? I post in just about every single one of these casino threads often complaining that I've never, ever received a bounce-back offer and speculating whether it was because I always have a cruise booked when I sail.

This is the first time I've ever read anyone post that you may qualify and not know it unless you call.

So, maybe I've had BB offers and didn't know it? :(

I'm going on my 4th Premier cruise over the span of a couple of years. I've taken two non-premier also in that time frame.

I do contact the Players Club before I sail the non-Premier cruises to see if I have any perks coming my way. It's typically only a small amount of casino cash, so I'm guessing I wouldn't have qualified for a BB anyway.

But, it would've been nice to know that calling might have made a difference!

I do have a new (for me) casino offer besides the Premier. It's PTF for discounted fare and FunPlay Chips. Of course, it doesn't say how many chips but does refer to bringing the "original mail piece" to the cage, which I'm guessing means I'll received something snailmail, like I typically do for the Premier offers. Looks to be good on many, many sailings but only thru 4/30/17. I may have to book a post-tax-season quickie under this fare, if I can find out how many chips I'll get. Wonder if this is replacing the Casino Cash?

Based on my conversations with the casino host on the Sunshine last month, it seems that Carnival is moving to a "don't ask, don't receive philosophy." I am not the kind of person who likes to buddy up to the hosts to receive perks. I feel that if I am entitled to something based on my play, I shouldn't have to ask for it. I did write to the casino before our cruise and was told that DH and I did not qualify for anything. We are not whales by any means, but we do cruise about 5 times per year and average about 4,000 points per cruise.

By shear accident, DH found out that they had $50 in casino cash for him. I asked if they would have told him. They said no that is our responsibility to ask. They also said that if you do have another cruise already booked, you are supposed to call after your cruise to see if you qualify for a bounce back. Having said that, I was given a letter to call because I already did have another cruise booked , but it said that I qualified for an offer.

I think it has become more and more frustrating to figure out how to qualify for offers or perks. John Heald posted last year that you need to earn 7500 points over a 12 month period to qualify for a premier offer. The casino host told me that was no longer true. It also said on the ultra invite that you must have sailed on a premier cruise during that year to qualify. My FIL got the ultra offer and booked it despite NEVER having been on a premier sailing. It feels like they constantly change the rules in the middle of the game.

Don't get me wrong, we don't cruise just for casino perks, but they do help. It is frustrating when the website never properly loads the sailing dates and despite repeated calls to them about it, it happens all over again at the next offering. I am a travel agent and I still can't see the dates for myself or my clients. Everyone knows that when you call Carnival and talk to 2 different people, you get 2 different answers. I called Friday to get the dates for this new offer and the girl told me that they would be loading dates for February and March by Monday. I called again to check on something else and mentioned there being more dates added and that girl said that there would NOT be more dates added. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

That's interesting. I've never asked after a cruise because I'd never seen it posted here! But I'm sure I wouldn't have enough points, anyway. Will you get the same response after the cruise if you email? Or do you have to call. I hate talking to humans. :p

I rarely talk to the casino hosts. Next cruise is a Premier, so I may have a convo with someone to see if I can get any clarification.

I've read all the theories about ratings at tables, but still don't know how they rate you at the Roulette wheel where you're playing with "other" chips. I don't know how they can possibly track what you're betting. Seems like I'd be better off to start with $100 cash, bet small, turn in for color, cash in those chips at the window, go back and start over with more cash. I sort of do that already but only if when I walk away from the wheel, I actually have some chips to cash in! It may be wise to buy more chips at the wheel, play a few spins, then walk away and cash in for cash. They'd record both the additional cash and then again when I return.

I'm really quite positive I've never earned 7,500 points over a 12-month period. I continue to receive the Premier offers every time they come out. I've never received a pack-and-play offer, though and never a bounce-back. And my Premier are always CP4 ($300 cash). Seems like once that was my assigned code, it will always be regardless of how much I've played on the past Premiers.

I've received Ultra invitations the past two years. And they were for cruises that were AT THE SAME TIME as the Premier I was on! Tell me how that makes any sense? I probably would've gone if I hadn't already been booked on Premier and had flights!

Anyone have any info about this current offer for FunPlay Chips?

Table play rating continues to be an elusive mystery, no one seems to know for sure how it's calculated.

On our last cruise there was a blue card holder that played BJ often with my husband, but never for as long or as high of bets. He (blue card guy) didn't receive a DOU card or any other comps, but go a letter for a BB on the last night, while my husband got his DOU early the second day, wine, strawberries, & a steakhouse dinner, but no BB letter and we did not have another cruise booked. We emailed the casino after returning home and he was given a BB code at that time.

We also both recieved premiere offers this time (PC 5 for hubby and PC9 for me), honestly I am shocked I got an offer. I am a very small player and have never once gotten a DOU card or any comps at all.

So basically, I think the casino offers are a crap shoot, especially for table players. They seem to follow no logic as far as I can tell.

Like. :-)

Well stated Kat. I agree with your logic. If I spend $1000 on my vacation fare, and spend another $1000 gambling, I'd be $1000 ahead if I took the free cruise and spend $1000 gambling.

Free cruises offer great value if I'm going to gamble anyway. It keeps me loyal to Carnival and land-based comped vacations from casinos. And no doubt Carnival knows they have to be competitive with both other cruise lines and land casinos. Carnival free cruise offers allow me to cruise more often, and that means I spend my discretionary income on Carnival ships.

^^ true story!

DH & I are going to gamble regardless, so we might as well do it with someone that's going to give us free fare in an environment that our kids will greatly enjoy as well!! They absolutely love Camp Carnival and almost have to be forced to leave for meals and such!

We're going on a "free" cruise in 3 weeks that only costing us around $600 (for our 2 kids and all port taxes) that's much better than the full fare price of $1500+ and frees up a grand for casino money. We have a set budget for the casino and stick to it. If we come home with any of that money remaining, it's a win for us. If not, it was money well spent on entertainment and a fun getaway for our family.

I'm with ya on this one. I don't understand the logic in thinking any of this is FREE. You're spending the money gambling. Not like you're just standing there in the casino and they decide to give you a cruise.

Actually, 1 point does not equal $1, it's actually $2.50. BUT, and here's where it gets good, points aren't based on money lost, it's based on money run through the casino, your or the house's.

And if, like many of us here, you're going to spend th money gambling regardless of comps possibly earned, then a "free cruise" is a nice little perk indeed!
