Correct. We had the UBP on the Gem cruise we were just on (with you). Zero charges for included drinks. (Enjoyed your review, btw.)

There is no change to the UBP itself. If you buy the UBP then you have always been charged the gratuities up front.

 

The only thing which has changed is the terms of the offer whereby you are given the UBP as a booking perk. Previously, it was all included, so the customer paid nothing. Now only the package itself is included so the customer has to pay the gratuities, which are still paid upfront.

 

The UBP itself is the same. There is no new or old UBP.
