Try to request a table where you will be seated with others who are traveling solo.

The worse part of solo cruising is the single supplement. If you can find the very few single cabins on a couple of cruise ships, you will pay the full two person fare, unless you can find a cruise deal where the fare will be 150% to 175% of the two person fare.
