cmptrwiz Posted February 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2016 We will be changing ships in the middle of our cruise vacation. In order to keep luggage to a minimum we will need to do laundry. It might work out for us if we could do laundry the day we get on second ship.
StolidCruiser Posted February 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2016 You sure can. As most launderettes are in the passenger casbin areas, you'll have to wait until those areas are open (depending on your priority or general status access). I had heard they don't run the washing machines when in port.
Nic6318 Posted February 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Hi there Don't forget to get enough change for the machines when you are on your first ship. (from the casino) That way you don't have to wait in lines on the second hip. They also will have coin op for detergent, fabric softener. You could bring a bit from home and save a few dollars. You might consider getting a bag of laundry done on each ship. That way you don't have to do the work, but would cost quite a bit more. have a great cruise

nanwel Posted February 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2016 I am glad I am not the only one bringing my own detergent - glad they invented tide pods in scent free - used to bring a little powdered detergent, and always worried my luggage would be checked for drugs!! Do not want to use detergent that I do not know/like on board - gives me skin rashes and sneezing fits - not fun - ha ha.
FloridaGram Posted February 15, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2016 My experience on the Liberty was that I could not do it when I wanted. I tried to do it early, before the other passengers were all on board and could not. It was locked from the first cruise and would not open until the second cruise sailed. Disappointing but I just worked around it!
