Couples Massage - Spa Room or Cabana?

Does anyone have experience with the couples massage through the lotus spa? Wanting to go ahead and make a reservation for our port day in Belize and trying to decide between the regular couples massage in the spa or the cabana couples massage which I think is done in the cabanas in the sanctuary. If anyone can advise I would appreciate it. Looking for a very special experience.

We prefer the cabana, it just adds something. The rooms can be stuffy and dark. It's nice to be up on deck in the cabana.

Just got off the emerald. Did a Valentine's Day couples massage in the cabana. Was really nice. Had a nice view of the ocean and could hear the waves against the boat. The cabana opens up toward the ocean and makes for a nice scene.

We've only done it in the spa. It was not something we enjoyed doing together. It's weird to hear your significant other moaning in a bed next to you...

 

We now prefer to do our spa treatments separately, but that's just us.

Cabana! especially in the tropics...

 

Make sure to confirm in person on embarkation, they've swapped them to a room on us before and we didn't know til we got there.

Is the Cabana option available on the Crown?

I believe it is available on all ships where the sanctuary is on a forward deck. (Coral being an example of a ship which features the sanctuary on an aft deck) I know in particular I have seen it featured and available on Caribbean, Crown and Emerald from previous cruises even though we never experienced it.

Is the cabana private?

The cabana is private. But you will be walking outside, up the stairs outside, and through the Sanctuary to get to the cabana. Everyone out by the Sanctuary pool will be able to see you in your robes. Just a heads up in case you are a bit shy.
