New ventilation systems being tested

Sometimes it's too windy to smoke outside, and I wish we could smoke on our balconies again! Maybe they could bring back the days of smoking and non-smoking rooms, or one side of the ship can have smoking balconies. I was very disappointed on our last cruise in August when I was told we couldn't smoke on the balcony or we would be charged. They should also make a cigar bar onboard.

I don't know if all ships have a cigar bar, but the ones I recall had one on deck 4 at the back, maybe - no windows - or on deck 5 to the right of the comedy club - karaoke/cigar bar. I remember the RC ship I first went on had a really nice cigar bar at the top looking over everything - very nice.

On the Triumph last week we saw people on slots wearing facemasks.

It was just so wrong on several levels. Lol

I felt like I was literally suffocating so left after one spin.

If you think facemasks were related to smoke, they must have really wanted to be there. Usually they are to preventing what's wrong with them from spreading, like a cold. Maybe they are immunosupressed and wanted to be there anyway.

To the original OP. Is the new Air Ventilation system ACTUALLY ALREADY BEING INSTALLED?? Or is it a concept n discussions going on with the contractors??

I've asked about this on JH site and to anyone currently on the Conquest and no one knows or hasn't responded

Thx

I thought about that, but then at the time there was a very visable smokey haze and was wishing I had had one too. Even back when I was a heavy smoker I couldn't stand smoke inside a room/building.

So, less money lost on gambling ... good for me I suppose.

It would solve many, not all, issues with the smoke. It would increase Casino revenue I'm thinking. I don't see the balcony smoking coming back. I've seen to make cigs go over the side and we were next to a heavy cigar smoker for a week. Zero fun. We couldn't find a time he wasn't out there.

Celebrity casinos are all smoke free, works for them.

Agreed. The smoking area is too small, no ashtrays or all filled and never emptied. One ship left a large container so we could empty them ourselves.
