jjrmather Posted February 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Could someone please explain to me the cabin category codes. For example, for a balcony cabin, what does BC vs. BF vs. B3, etc. mean? Thank you.
fishywood Posted February 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) First digit: I = Interior O = Oceanview B = Balcony D = Premium Balcony (Royal and Regal Princess) M = Mini-Suite S = Suite Second Digit: Bottom of alphabet (Z, Y, X...) indicates obstructed view Top of alphabet (A, B, C...) indicates standard cabin within that category Numeric (1, 2, 3...) indicates preferred cabin of that category, usually having both of larger interior and/or balcony and midship or stern-facing location Differences between cabin in each second-digit grouping is generally location: midship better than aft, aft better than forward, middle decks better that higher and lower decks; usually the highest letter or number indicates a cabin either directly above or below a public area, which Princess considers the least preferable cabin location in each category. Simple, yes  :D Edited February 25, 2016 by fishywood

jennybenny Posted February 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2016 So, if I have a MF category booked, I am bottom of the Mini suite barrel?
caribill Posted February 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2016 So, if I have a MF category booked, I am bottom of the Mini suite barrel? According to what Princess thinks, yes. But the main difference between mini-suite categories is location, and if you are happy with a MF location, then you have the same mini-suite experience as it would be in any other regular mini-suite.
