canadarocks Posted February 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2016 On the Eurodam can you make reservations for lunch at the Tamarind and/or Pinnacle Grill online? Or do we have to wait until we're onboard?
cruz chic Posted February 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2016 The tamarind is no longer serving lunch. You'll have to wait until you get onboard to reserve lunch at the pinnacle.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2016 There is no longer lunch offered at the Tamarind. You have to wait until you are on the ship to make reservations for lunch at the Pinnacle. $10 per person. Not open everyday.
canadarocks Posted February 25, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Thanks. I just found info online about Tamarind Bento Boxes that you can order for Room Service dinner. Are they still available?

2ptu/000 Posted February 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2016 On our recent cruise on the Veendam, the Pinnacle was only open for lunch on sea days.
gigianne Posted February 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2016 And in late January on the NA we saw Bento boxes being delivered to a cabin.

I was about the same for me when I was on last May. I'm not a fan of the lido so this was disappointing.

sail7seas Posted February 26, 2016 #17 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Seeing I don't care for steamed dumplings or sushi, the Bento Box is not very tempting. :o Anyone else?

It doesn't do anything for me either. I'd rather go to the restaraunt.

Krazy Kruizers Posted February 26, 2016 #22 Share Posted February 26, 2016 I love dinners in Tamarind but the lunch never appealed to me. :) Me either. We ate one lunch at the Tamarind a few years ago. They were so swamped that we only 2 or 3 of the dumplings, etc. as we were supposed to get. DH went away hungry. We had to go to the Lido for DH to get more food and neither of us are used to big lunches -- but what was served was too little -- JMO.

I agree with you about preferring to get dressed and go out for the evening rather than dinner on our verandah. I like breakfast there sometimes but DH really liked going to Pinnacle. :)

I like breakfast there sometimes but DH really liked going to Pinnacle. :) On one Alaskan cruise we had great service for breakfast in the cabin. At that time Pinnacle was not offered to the PS and Upper Suite passengers. But the last day of the cruise -- breakfast never arrived. We called -- concierges called -- still no breakfast. We each only got 1 tiny roll left in the Neptune Lounge before we had to board our bus in Vancouver to go to our hotel in Seattle. We were starved when we got to the hotel at 3 PM. We tried breakfast in the cabin a couple more times on other ships -- nothing ever arrived. DH was glad when we were able to go to the Pinnacle for breakfast -- and there have been times when that was not great.
