sail7seas Posted March 7, 2016 #26 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Temperature in the Caribbean does not change that much month to month but humidity levels go up considerably in summer months.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 7, 2016 #27 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Just wanted to add that we were in the Caribbean last April and it was quite nice. The mornings started off a bit cooler which was great and it was never humid. In June I also wanted to mention you can have those daily thunderstorms. They don't last long though. zqvol Posted March 7, 2016 #28 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Hi! My family and I are going on our first cruise and we are booked to go in April 2017 on the Harmony! We are thinking it might be easier to go in June because we have 3 kids. Anyway, is it that much of a difference weather wise in April compared to June? Does it rain a lot in June in the Caribbean? Did some research, but different websites say different things. I was hoping to get opinions from people who have cruised a lot to the Caribbean during that time. Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app The weather in the Caribbean is pretty constant year round. You won't notice much difference between April and June. kimlovesfl Posted March 7, 2016 #29 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Go in April. June will be hotter, more humid, greater chance of thunderstorms, and you are also in the beginning of hurricane season. You aren't as likely to see hurricanes or tropical storms in June as you are in August or September, but the chance is there.
sail7seas Posted March 7, 2016 #30 Share Posted March 7, 2016 I have cruised the Caribbean during every month of the year and found lots of humidity in July, August and early September. But really, so what? :) That is what air conditioning, swimming pools and the beach are for. :)
navybankerteacher Posted March 7, 2016 #31 Share Posted March 7, 2016 This question, like a coin, has two sides: it is not just about where you are, but also about where you are NOT. For anyone from the Northeast, June is better than April at home - so the Caribbean (where the ambience is pretty constant year round) is a more attractive alternative in April. cruiseapril Posted March 7, 2016 #33 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Were the port stops mentioned? That can make a difference.
