Free trolley in OSJ

What pier does carnival usually dock in San Juan? What do you think of just taking the free trolley around OSJ b/c we get in at 1pm on a Sunay and leave at 11pm. What else is there to do?

We used the free trolley last month. Very easy to use. We walked up the street though and did not catch the trolley at the stop across from the pier because it was packed.

Same with us this past January.There are "guides" at the pier that can direct you to the stop and also let you know which trolley to take depending on where you want to go.

Yes....go left out of the cruise terminal and walk to a little park where you can sit and wait for the trolley (the trolley stops are marked). - that way you are already on when they get to the stop across from the pier where it can be very crowded, There are 2 different trolley routes. If you want the one that goes to both forts just double check with the driver. There is no narration. If you want to get off for a bit at El Morro, be sure to ride all the way to the top. Another idea is to ride around part way a second time and get off near Ft San Cristobal and then walk/shop your way back down to the pier.

If you are in fairly good health, it's easy to walk around OSJ. I printed out a walking tour online and we saw most of the points of interest.

Could you tell me where you found the walking tour online. We will be there in April and just want to walk around the town and go to the forts and go to Barrachina's for a pina colada and do some shopping!
