Dinner question

Probably a dumb question, but if you have leftovers after eating dinner in the MDR can you get a box and take it back to your room for a midnight snack?

 

I know pizza and room service is 24/7, but is anything else open late if we get hungry?

Those portions are so small, I can't imagine anyone having anything left over.

I have taken a cheese plate back to have with wine before bed....yummy....they left it n the plate and put a metal cover for me.

I've been know to call room service at 2-3 AM and order a BLT with extra bacon. Room service is 24/7 as well.

Not all MDs will allow food to be taken out of the MDR.

With the size of the portions, don't think there will be left overs. Just off of Liberty and these were the smallest chicken breasts and lobster tails I ever seen.

I've never been on a cruise where you couldn't take food out from the MDR.

 

Many people bring food back from the buffet to their rooms/balconies, so why not the MDR?

 

Since they no longer have a cheese plate offered from room service I will quite often get one from the MDR's dessert menu and bring it back to our room to have later. I would not be very happy to be told I couldn't do that. :(

I agree! We have taken food back many times. Usually sit and have soup or appetizer, get dessert and/or cheese plate to go.

No idea why. Every once in a while we've encountered this on the Inspiration.

Did you ask why?

 

If they told me I couldn't I would have to know the reason. As it just doesn't make sense when you can take food from any other venue back to your room if you choose to.
