Free internet on Majesty officially cancelled

I have no idea what RCI is doing regarding Majesty. :eek: They have now axed free internet, axed adding Sabor & Izumi, and axed other additions.

I thought the decision to keep Majesty in the fleet and update her was a good one at first but not sure anymore. Empress is now getting an extended drydock as RCI realized it needed a lot more work. Given the age of these two ships I'm not sure all the money RCI is spending on them is even worth the costs.

Well for what it might be worth, I just today made a final payment on a Majesty cruise 5/23. I questioned the rep at the D+ desk regarding upgrades and she told me that Voom would be free for everyone. There's a lot of mis information regarding Voom and I have no idea which is correct BUT I will know on May 23 and let you know.

She told me the kids splash thing would be done, movie at the pool, upgraded arcade and casino. Anything else is unknown.

We booked before that for our cruise July 18th and we will get the free VOOM per RCI. I wish they wouldn't change their minds mid-stream as it is very confusing. If you get onto MOS website page it looks like the refurb is already done which can be a let down for people booking a short notice sailing.

We are doing are first trip on Majesty on April 11 before the dry dock. We are also doing another trip on her in September and per the link above we should receive the free internet.

RCL stock was up $4.50 today. They are doing everything they can to woo the shareholders. Which, we are, and appreciate that.

We are also avid cruisers, and don't fully understand things like MJ becoming an Abbott and Costello skit. "Who's on First?".

There were rumors on another board that MJ is only at PC for a year and then is transferring to Pullmanteur/CDF, probably why they have cut back on upgrades
