brn2crz Posted March 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2016 First. We are planning on doing one of the zip line tours. But we have soneone with a knee issue that makes climbing hard. They are in over all good physicsl shape, but climbing is tough.. Is there a lot involved in the canapy tours? Is there one that has more climbing or stairs than another? Second question. We have been to Tabyana and enjoyed the snorkleing from the shore. We are condidering doing a catamaran out to Bkue Hole..? Or something like that. is it worth it to tske a Cat.? Is the snorkling any better than off the beach ?
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2016 Look at Pirates of the Caribbean zip line. They have several "courses" of different lengths and difficulty and fewer steps to platforms(mainly at the starting platforms) than South Shore Canopy which has a number of stair climbs both up and down(really hard on knees). If it were me, I'd do the cat unless it's a ship excursion (too crowded). But that said, if you go to Tabayana, you can walk along the beach and find a small boat operator who'll gladly take you up to West End for some slightly off shore snorkeling. aldofont Posted April 6, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Pirates of the Caribbean and Caribe Sky are the largest ziplines on the island. They're usually described as "Extreme", in various ways. Caribe Sky however has a few hiking segments and might be harder for a bad knee, so Pirates could be a better choice. Other ziplines on the islands are South Shore, Mayan, Gumbalimba. They're smaller, but also cheaper. Both Coxen Hole and Mahogany ports have their own micro ziplines. They're very limited in size, not very memorable, but very convenient as they require no transportation from/to port.
