Adventure of the Seas - Embarkation - Carry-On Luggage/Bag Question

Recommended Posts

Do you see people on the ship on embarkation day with Rolling/Wheeled Carry-On luggage? How large is the security scanner - what is the largest bag that you have seen go through it? After reading reviews my bags could arrive pretty late and there are several things I prefer to have in my possession. Example: extra clothes for 3 people, all my toiletries, a couple of things. Thanks in advance.

It needs to fit through the scanner like the airport, so you are limited to carryon, back packs, duffels, etc.

Anything that has any chance of bursting I put in my carryon. As far as the checked luggage....they stack this luggage to the max so if yours is on bottom of the pile you will definately run the risk of having something burst....:eek::eek:

We have been fortunate to have our luggage most times dinner so we are willing to wait.

Have a wonderful cruise!!

Our standard 22" roller board fits fine - I imagine an oversize duffle style that some folks try to carry on might be a problem. I love having my baggage with me, we are unpacked and on vacation within 10" of getting into our cabin.

I see people with rolling luggage all the time. We have one that we use all the time, which is the size that fits in the aircraft overhead storage.

Yes, make sure it's small enough to go through an airport type scanner. We've seen several people hold up the line by having a bag too large...the staff there will take your bag, tag it and add it to the port checked bags...but not a good thing to hold up the line...and it actually could delay your bag being delivered to your cabin.
