Fascination out of San Juan

Anyone on the relocation cruise or April 25 inaugural voyage?

 

My question for all is how can I find out who the comedians, shows and cruise director will be? This ship was doing 4 and 5 day cruise out of Jacksonville. How do they make that transition to a regular 7 day with production shows, entertainers/musicians and comedians?

 

I hope they plan something a little better than what is typically offered on their short run cruises.

The CD will be Felipe Couto.. They do not publish a list of the comedians, but you can ask JH and he will usually respond and let you know who they will be...

I hope the cruise goes OK for you. This ship is a floating rustbucket because it does not have a Guy's burgers. Just be careful where you walk because there are many locations on the ship where there is exposed sharp rust.

That's a little harsh there! So, if a ship doesn't have a Guy's Burgers it's a rust bucket? Was on the Fascination last week, and the ship was just fine, and the crew was awesome. Yes, it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the newer, larger ships, but the OP has sailed on Fantasy class ships before, so they know what to expect.

This ship may be over 22 years old, but they certainly use other cows to make hamburgers on this ship at the grill.

Yeah, but they are not Guy's cows. Guy's cows are kobe beef cows that are hand fed grass that is trucked in daily from Flavortown and are given massages daily.

 

The burgers on non Guy's ships are just frozen 50/50 USDA Grade D+ bone-in burger patties.

Excuse me I resemble the rust bucket description so I will be invisible on the ship! That was good! Having done 15 cruises now including 5 of them on the Fantasy Class ships I have no problem with them especially since I will be busy with 6 islands in 7 days and a balcony. The ship will mainly be my casino, dinner and breakfast stop along with some shows and comedy in the 8 hours I am awake.

I agree I can see why they put this type of ship in PR. as the cruise is port intensive so you don't need all the bells and whistles . I'm going for the ports and as long as I am treated good and fed I'll be just fine

DH and i have 18 carnival cruises, with 6 being on the Fasination. We LOVE that ship. Granted it doesnt have all the bells abd whistles (would love to have had the steak house) but we had such a good time that we went back 5 more times. The crew is one of the best in the fleet. Food was goood and the ship, while older, was very clean.

Please do. I've been waiting for the transition of the Fascination to San Juan as we sail later on this summer. I've read reviews of the Fascination out of Jacksonville, and reviews of the itinerary on other ships, but would love to hear one of the ship/itinerary we'll be doing.

Oh I will. Normally I don't do reviews on the solo cruises that I do on the rust buckets but this one deserves it and it will be the second voyage after re-positioning. I'm not much into posting pictures but I will try.

You forgot about the organic grease that rolls off the Guy's burgers and interacts with the grease laden fries and onions.

I have been on Inspiration, Ecstasy and Paradise. They are all great ships. I am not looking for all the bells and whistles of the mega ships. Just a really nice and relaxing cruise and still be able to have a lot of fun.
