Timing for Dinner before Shows

Hi all! I'm a newbie to NCL and would like your expert opinions regarding what time to book dinner on show nights.

For 9:30pm shows of Burn the Floor and Rock of Ages:

1. What is the latest you would reserve dinner in order to get good seats?

2. Are there particular restaurants for which you would leave more time? Less time?

3. What time do the doors open for late shows?

Dinners were always a very long affair on Celebrity- 2 hours at least, so that's my basis for comparison.

We will be on the BA to Bermuda and have 9:30pm shows booked. The first show night I have Manhattan Room Dining booked for 6:30pm and the second show night I have Savor booked for 6:30pm but may switch to specialty restaurants if we end up purchasing the SDP.

TIA!

Since you asked about the 9:30 shows, I'd do 7pm dinner. That way you have 2 hours to finish, and 30 minutes to get in line and seated at the theater. My experience is that dining generally takes 90 minutes, but sometimes longer and sometimes shorter.

7pm would be ideal but that seems the most popular and there are currently no reservations. From what I understand, NCL does not list everything available in advance, so I will keep checking and see what they release as we get closer to sail.

Thanks!

My hubby and I typically eat around 6 or 6:30, then go drink before the shows. :)

Think about making earlier dinner reservations just so you know you have them and then change them the day you board. They hold a lot of reservations for booking on-board.

That's what we did for the Escape -- made reservations just to have them and then re-booked on board.
