Hflors Posted April 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2016 Our upcoming trip is a "sister's cruise" One of the sisters reminded me that on a HAL older ship OV rooms do not have refrigerators and asked me to see if we could get one. We like our drinks cold! My other sister is also ot doing so well with her broken ankle so we thought a wheelchair would help. So yesterday I called HAL's customer service. They transferred me to the correct extension and even gave me the direct line should we get cut off. The person who answered the phone was very pleasant. They do not do wheelchairs, but gave me the number to two companies who will drop them off at the port for us. It took less than five minutes for the refrigerator to be ordered for our cabin. I then called the wheel chair company and after about five minutes that was also taken care of! Just wanted to thank HAL for their great customer service! Now if I just survive 4 sisters in an ov cabin on Maasdam for a week! (Actually it will be a blast, "what happens on a cruise stays on a cruise!) We don't tell 0ur dh's that we go to the casino! hehe!! btw - wheel chairs from this company are at a kiosk at check in and after the cruise that is where you return them. Sounds very simple to me. dot73 Posted April 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2016 That's great. I wish I had a sister to cruise with. My brother is a stick-in-the-mud and won't go. Have a fabulous time.

I am very lucky to have three sisters to go with. Two of them went with dh and I on a 30 day cruise to Hawaii & Tahiti to celebrate our 40th anniversary a couple of years a go. It was so much fun!!!! I am looking forward to the week for the four of us to be "sisters" again (in the same room in bunk beds. )

I'm an "only" and I miss having sibs more as an adult than I ever did as a kid. And do you really think your menfolk don't know you go to the casino???? ;)

And do you really think your menfolk don't know you go to the casino???? ;) We know they "know" but our lips are sealed!!!! ;) Actually one of my sisters is also my "scrabble" buddy. So for us it will be a full week! ( on our last "sister's" cruise we played just about 150 "super scrabble" games!) We don't play regular scrabble any more we prefer super scrabble - and we use nine tiles for our play. Much more interesting!!!
