39august Posted April 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2016 We are driving to Galveston this coming Saturday from OKC. We are concerned about possible closings due to flooding. Just read that a bridge on 45 near the Woodlands is currently closed and more rain is coming. Would a reasonable alternative be to take hwy 105 from Conrow to hwy 59 south to 635 if necessary? DannyMac Posted April 22, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) Flood waters in the Houston area are receding. I-45S is open all the way to Galveston. There is freeway construction beginning at FM:2351 to NASA 1. Depending on your travel time, expect traffic to slow down a bit in that area.
