Internet Package - Which Discount is Better

Recommended Posts

I have been searching this forum about Internet Package Discounts and I am thoroughly confused as to whether I should buy the package in advance or once onboard.

We are going on the Allure in August. DH and I are Diamond Plus, DS and his wife are Diamond.

DH and I want a 2 device unlimited package and DS and wife are looking for the same thing. I know we each get different loyalty discounts because we are at different levels.

Here is my question: There is a current offer for a 30% discount on Internet Packages if we book it now before boarding. Is that a greater discount than we will receive if we wait to use our loyalty discounts onboard? I am presuming we will not get any loyalty discount if we buy in advance. I can't imagine Royal Caribbean being so generous as to give us a double discount.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

I'll give you the discounts and you can figure out which is better.

D+: Two free 24-hour periods for one device or $60 off a package.

D: One free 24-hour period for one device or $30 off a package.

Each of these is per person, however they only allow one discount per package.

Bob - so you don't need to get the package in order to use these benefits?

Since we have a D and a D+ traveling:

For example, my itinerary is as follows

Day 1 - Bayonne -

Day 2 - At Sea - Sign up using D, 24 hour period. Say 9am-9am

Day 3 - Bermuda - Expires at 9am

Day 4 - Bermuda - Sign up using D, 48 hour period. Say 9am again

Day 5 - At Sea - All day access

Day 6 - Boston - Expires at 9am. Pull into Boston at 9am to connect to data.

Day 7 - At Sea

Last time, I used it to apply to a package, but I'm thinking it would be better just to use the free time slots and then don't renew when they expire.

  • 3 weeks later...
Would you know what the platinum discount off voucher is for (if anything)????

Platinum has been 15% off a package, so the 30% pre-cruise discount is better, unless you don't plan to purchase for the entire cruise.

Anyone who knows the username and password can use your parent's internet connection. I believe the free internet is for the slower surf only package.
