Slot pull question

Has any meet and greet group EVER won $ during the group slot pull? The two I have participated in were fun for all but definitely not lucrative. WOF machines tend to be very stingy, in my experiences.:eek:

Yup, the dw and I did the slot pull on our last cruise with about 10 other folks after the meet and greet. We won $1000 on the last pull :)

My husband and I participated in one with about 15 other folks. We each started with $21 and after the first round we had enough to cash out $65 each, so we did.

Been to two slot pulls and the Wheel of Fortune machines just took our money. The next slot pull I run I will find a different machine!

Why are you using the Wheel of Fortune machine!??! Use a regular slot, you will have better odds.

We had 26 people and ended up with something like $5 for each if we cashed out so we bet it on one spin of the roulette wheel and lost it all. But, boy, did we have fun! :D

Participants each contribute a set amount (we did $15 each) and all of the cash is put into the machine. In our case, that gave each of us three pulls. We had prizes for the best pull and I think the worst pull. You cash out at the end and split the pot evenly. Or, as we did, bet it all on roulette. ;) If you have an enthusiastic group, it's lots of fun with people cheering and yelling your name. :D

On the all slot pulls I've been in, we've either broke even or won, not large amounts though. The more people participating, the more fun it is.

I didn't know that we could pick a different machine! It's nice to hear that there are occassional winners. And it IS fun, regardless.

Never won but had fun. For some reason the slot pulls were all on WOF. I just thought it was a casino rule.

Have been on several slot pulls now and never won what we spent. But had a great time each time. Always on WOF because that's the machine the casino has always given us. Last time somebody did ask why and was told there is always more room around these machines for the crowd. Maybe, but I think it's because less chance of hitting any real cash on these. Didn't know we could pick our own machine though. Maybe if we don't have a huge group we can find one ourselves.

The one benefit to using the WOF machine is that if you get a bonus spin, everyone in the group can see the spin. Our last slot pull had almost 40 people, and most of the time only a handful around the machine could see what was happening.
