Steddiguy Posted May 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Read some old posts about how gay friendly Carnival and came away unsure. Looking at the Hawaii cruise on the carnival Legend next April. Is it more likely to be a gay friendly crowd?
Texas Tillie Posted May 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2016 There's a special board here on Cruise Critic for gay and lesbian cruisers. I'd suggest you post your question there. spookwife Posted May 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2016 well I have one friend who sails them exclusively. a LOT. so it can't be gay Unfriendly. I know I have seen more than few Cross dressers/Trans types on Royal. usually having more fun than anyone else.... but since most gay people are not 'Just Jack' who knows how many I have come across in my travels. cruzeluver Posted May 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2016 My husband and I have travelled on several lines including Carnival and have not had an issue on any of them. We make no secret of being a couple and have never received anything less than great service and have not been on the receiving end of any homophobic behavior. subtchr Posted May 21, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 21, 2016 For what it's worth, my son and his husband are avid Celebrity cruisers and have always had a wonderful time on X. They love the atmosphere.
SadieN Posted May 23, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2016 If you're looking for a good itinerary, check out the Mexican Riviera cruises out of Long Beach, California. (Other lines sail out of San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles) Puerto Vallarta is very gay friendly, lots of bars etc. It's Mardi Gras parade was a hoot. Mexico is considering legalizing same-sex marriage. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
cruisejunkie76 Posted May 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2016 I guess it's the other guests that make the cruise "gay friendly" or "gay unfriendly" If sailed on NCL only so far. And I always saw in the program Meetings for LGBT. I assume it's the same on other cruise lines as well.
Steddiguy Posted June 26, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Well my partner decided that the Hawaii cruise was too much money (even though I was paying for it and could afford it).....so that's that! LOL Thanks for the replies people
