Can't figure out which app for my iPad is best for periscope. Please let me know

In Safari web browser type in periscope.

Click on periscopetv, then click on the app store icon to download.

For some reason it doesn't show up in the apps section on the ipad.

Click on the globe icon, then click on the magnifying glass to open a search box. Type in a ship name and see what's been posted. You can also add people who will be periscoping to receive notifications when they are live.

There is no iPad version of periscope, you need to use the iPhone version on the iPad, so filter the apps to show iPhone only.

Explorer of the Seas, Alaska 7-night, Sailing Friday, May 27, 2016

My daughter Maddy and I are Disney Scopers, but we're hoping our followers don't mind a few scopes from our Alaska cruise. We'll try to do a couple, but it will all depend on connectivity.

It's an app that you can download to your phone. Then you can interact with others and follow their experiences. So when someone is on a cruise you can see in real time what they are doing if they are scoping. They can save the videos for 24 hours. It's pretty cool. Some people scope all kinds of things, walking their dog, driving, shopping. People that are watching live then can interact with one another and the person hosting the scope can answer questions.

Thanks

That explained it better than Wiki did

So instead of posting photos on CC and have people comment or ask questions on CC

Now people can just go to Periscope and bypass CC

Or they can do both! Persicope is just a faster medium to connect with followers. You know, for those who need an immediate fix!

Not really. CC and periscope are two totally different things. Periscope is mostly just to see LIVE video. The questions/interactions are just a plus. Not nearly the same as a CC review or photo report. There's also a limit to what you can type on periscope, and its sometimes hard for a scoper to answer every question because they disappear not long after posting.
