Not sure if access to the bow is available all the time. I know it is for Glacier Bay (and the Panama Canal locks).

 

Back in 2007 on the Amsterdam it was open coming into Juneau as well as Sitka and in Glacier Bay, of course.

When you see those two doors open, access is available

The first lines ashore, fwd and aft, are "spring lines", they act like breaks and, by 'heaving' on them, can also move the ship ahead and astern for short distances to line up the gangway and clear any bollards

Really early in Juneau, it looks like the tourist kiosks are not staffed yet. But I did see the tramway going up the mountain.

 

Looks like a couple of the ropes got tangled.
