Private tour Amsterdam?

Any recommendations for a private tour in Amsterdam? Thank you

Amsterdam is easy to navigate and a very walkable city. My suggestion would be to take a Hop-on, Hop-off bus tour to give you an overview of the city and then walk and take the trams to sites that are of interest. The trams are cheap and very convenient. The HOHO bus tours leave from just in front of the Centraal Station. Dam square is a good central location from which to start a walking tour. From there the Jordaan and Red Light districts are very close. Then you can head over to the Neiwmarket and follow the canal south to the Amstel River. Next, take the tram to the museum district and then back to Centraal Station. I recommend the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide for Amsterdam to give you details of the sites you will visit.

We loved wandering around this wonderful city. You can see all of the things I've describe on my Amsterdam and Keukenhof video.

Have fun,

Ron

There is also a hop on hop off canal boat that is great. I think your ticket is good for 24 hours....some of the boats had narration too...it seemed to be at the whim of the captain is he was inclined to or not!

Good Afternoon,

LoneStarCruisinCouple here Lisa and Gary.

While we were in Amsterdam we used Toms Travel Tours. Tom and his wife are rated extremely high by TripAdvisor and Tom is also rated as probably the Best Travel photographer in all of Europe. What is really very nice as while you are on your tour he is clicking away and taking photos of your experiences as you are shown the city and makes a copy as to give you. We used him for two days..

Email is tomstraveltours@gmail.com

Phone is +31 (0)6 26534331.

Great and highly recommended.
