seahappy08 Posted May 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2016 We are on different cruises that end in late flights home so need to know the best method to transport our luggage from the port to the airport? We understand we can pay to store our luggage at the airport? We would then need to go somewhere from the airport for the day, suggestions please? The airport is at the NE corner of the island (country) and not near the sites to see. Have you considered finding a tour company that will keep you luggage in the van while you site see. bcnvcanada Posted May 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Take a taxi from the port to the airport. Store your cases. Taxis can be engaged by the hour, we have done that, especially if you know where you want to go. Also there is a connection to the subway system, map on line, that will take you to most sites that you will want to visit. Remember mid afternoon in Singapore is very hot and humid and off times rains. Might be a good time for a late lunch. Also the street markets are fun and of course safety is excellent in Singapore. peter.kath@hotmail.com Posted June 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2016 If you are at the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal they do have luggage storage there. Singapore luggage storage also offer a delivery service to the airport. Either of these would allow you to enjoy your day without the hassle of travelling to the airport. That sounds exactly what we need, I will google them. Thanks Lynda
Docker123 Posted June 18, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 18, 2016 Singapore is great for a day trip, or longer. As was said, it is also hot and humid. One thing I like to do when flying home late at night is using the great facilities at Changi Airport to shower and put on clean clothes. Makes the flight so much more comfortable.
