Received a call from Upselll fairy tonight offering to go from inside to Spa Balcony on July 4th sailing on Sunshine. Cruising on a Bounceback from casino . $189 pp taxes port fees . Offer was $200 pp. Turned it down ... I'll stick with the free cruise... Spend the $$ on something else.

I also never knew that you could get an upsell offer if you're on a casino rate. My next cruise is also a Bounce Back, but I already paid for an upgrade to a wrap balcony just because I wanted to treat myself and am tired of being interior. I'm one of those that spends quite a bit of time on my balcony and I thought that since it's a summer cruise (7/30 on Magic) there would be crowds on deck. Plus I always wanted a wrap and my PVP was on the ball and saw that I could get the wrap for the same price as a regular balcony with the Bounce Back rate - hey, who could say no, right?

Now my sister took the interior right across the hall (also Bounce Back) and we split the cost of both cabins. Isn't she a good sister? Actually we will make sure she has a key to my cabin & she will probably only sleep in her cabin. The only reason I got the balcony instead of her is because she loves to take afternoon naps & loves the interior for that reason.

Would someone please explain what a "Bounce Back" rate means. Thanks in advance!

Bounce Back is an offer from the Casino. If you have so many points on your Sail & Sign at the end of your cruise - I believe it's 5000 (at least on an 8 day) - you will receive a letter on the last night of the cruise offering you basically a free cruise. Of course that's if you get an interior cabin and you will pay taxes and port fees. You can then normally upgrade to a balcony for more $$ - that's if there are balcony cabins available.

Thank you Shirley. I don't think we had near that number of points for a bounce back, but we did get a "casino offer" for the cruise we just took, and it was a couple hundred lower than the going rate. Guess we should spend more time in the casino! I appreciate your explanation.
