Question on Owner's Suite

Just saw an email received earlier today for an upgrade "at a discounted rate" from our Grand Suite to The Owner's Suite.

The pictures are AMAZING!

I won't find out until tomorrow when I call exactly how much more it would be.

Input?

Did it on the Fascination before she left Jax.

TOTALLY worth it. Platinum status (if you aren't already) and all the perks that go with that. Escorted on board, the lady cut people off to get us on. It was crazy.

All the windows looked out on the pool and lido deck.

The extra space was amazing. The only complaint was you could hear joggers pounding overhead and deck chairs. The staff would arrange chairs on the deck EARLY.

If Google is right this is way over our price range.

Either way I shall report back tomorrow and give an update.

It was a very exciting 2 hours thinking "maybe" & "what if".....

Reality slowly sinking in lol.

And neither balcony appears at all private. ...obviously the one overlooking Lido isn't but I was HOPING the ocean balcony would be.

Well we declined.

It would have been a total of $1,060 additional for both of us (total....not per person or per night.)

I may regret it but I don't at this point.

Actually doesn't sound like a horrible deal....the interior is GORGEOUS but I'm rather fond of that private balcony we'll have without an obstructed view and no noise from the Lido or the joggers above.

Hoping someone snatches this up and enjoys!

When we cruised in the Owner's Suite on the Ecstasy, our balcony was totally private. I'm surprised to hear the one you were offered wasn't private.

The balcony is on the side of the ship and overlooks the sea. It is private, and we did hear the noise from the pool area but it didn't bother us. If you stand on the far edge, you can see some of the pool deck. We used the balcony every day. Fantastic!

My wife has pictures on her website. On slide number 12, you will see me coming out on the balcony. The second to last picture shows the location of the two Owner's Suites from the pool area view point. You have to look hard to see even a little of the balcony.

I don't know how to insert pictures but I'm inserting a link below.

Thanks for the Link!

1060 more is a lot better than I thought it would be but I'd already determined I wouldn't go above 500 though DH said 700-800.

I just don't think we NEED it to be happy and content.

This is our FIRST CRUISE EVER.

Again about the balcony. ...I KNOW no one can see us on the Grand Suite balcony but wasn't assured that is the case with this one.

Is it?

No one can see you on this balcony unless they just happened to look up at the right time and even then it would be hard to see the small portion that is visible from the pool deck or the one with loungers.

The second to last picture of my wife's slide show gives an accurate view. The Owner's Suite is the upper windows.

Your first cruise will be an adventure. Ours was on the Carnival Conquest and we were immediately hooked on cruising after that. My wife was so nervous about going but I had wanted to go on a cruise for a long time. So I suggested that a cruise would be a great way to celebrate her birthday and she agreed.

A day or two after we got home, she was one the computer looking for our next cruise! :D

Happy cruising. I wish you calm seas and sunny weather. Cruising is a fantastic way to travel!

We sailed in the Owners suite on the Ecstasy as well. Spectacular rooms.....

We had one of the Owner's Suites on Fantasy. It was a wonderful experience, right from the private escort aboard the ship (we boarded through the crew gangway). The balcony is private, but is partially obstructed by a lifeboat. The running track is overhead - one morning we heard a runner, but by and large it was fine. One warning about the bedroom and living area windows overlooking the Lido deck - they are opaque, but if you're on the Lido deck you can make out what's going on in the cabin.:p

So true about the windows. We could sit in the living room and bedroom and watch the antics on the Lido deck and pool!:D As soon as it was starting to get dark, we closed the drapes in both rooms. Cruising in that suite was an unforgettable experience. We loved every second of it!!!
