Summit Specialty Dining

Hi all. I can't seem to get a straight answer from Celebrity. Has anyone had any experience with 3 restaurant specialty dining package? What are the current restaurants on board? Is Normandy gone? Did Murano replace it? Is Tuscan Grill a third specialty restaurant?

Got it thanks. We booked the 3 day specialty dining and were told we had to go to Tuscan Grill on the first night. After that we had to go once to Qzine and again to Tuscan Grill. I was a huge fan of Normandy and am very disappointed that they did away with it. I ended up canceling our package and will possibly just reserve a single night at Tuscan Grill. I'm not terribly worried as we are Aqua and have the option of Blu or the main dining room. I'm looking at it as I saved $476 that I can spend in the casino.

We were just on the Summit and booked a night at Tuscan and a night Q'sine when we were on board for something like $32pp. We cancelled Q'sine though because we loved Blu so much! We couldn't bear the thought that we wouldn't spend our last night on the cruise eating there! Tuscan was good though. I remember the great appetizer and great dessert (oh, and cocktail...).

We are on the same sailing and have booked Qsine for the first night and Tuscan Grill for Tuesday night. I also will miss the Normandy, had a couple of great meals there on previous cruises. Hope TG is just as good.

We have specialty dining included with our suite, but my mom and sister are in a Sky Suite and will have to pay.

I know that upon boarding they are usually offering discounts for specialty dining, so we will try to see what we can work out for them.

You should try to get a discount on the first night to eat at TG.

I always find the dining rooms very hectic on night 1 of any cruise I've been on, so I love that there are now other choices for a good meal.

2 more weeks!!! Can't wait to walk aboard!!!

Typically, on the first night of the Cruise, if you book onboard, you can get a significant discount if you dine in a specialty restaurant. The discount ranges from 20% to 50% off. I find that if I book a package on board with one "discounted" dinner on board, it works out better. IMO Q'sine is great and shouldn't be missed. While we will dine in Luminae, and have also dined in Blu, the specialty restaurants are much better hands down and a unique experience.

Enjoy your cruise.

I was on Summit 2 years ago and Infinity last year and ate at Qzine both times. It's fun to experience but I feel that the food is so much better in the dining room and in Blu. I really just wanted something extra special for my mom's birthday. My husband and I just loved Normandy! My parents long time celebrity sailors are also disappointed.

For us in May, the food in Q'sine was much better than the dining room. We really enjoyed it, especially the little steaks - best I have ever, ever had.

Glad to hear this!

If you are speaking about the Painter's Filet Mignon...the 2 times we had it, it was dry and over-cooked, so any improvement will be enjoyed!

I am not a huge fan of Qsine, although it is a fun place to eat.

Only reason I'm doing it for the 3rd time is because my mom and sister have never sailed Celebrity and I want them to experience everything we can pack into the week!

We really enjoy Q'sine. With the exception of the Lawn Grill, which is only on the Silhouette and Reflection, a great restaurant. You can sample food from around the world. My DH loves the Painter's Filet Mignon and I love the lamb chops that are on the Middle eastern entree. We also enjoy many of the others. It is both a creative and good food experience. Do not miss it. We also enjoyed the Normandy- but the Tuscan Grill is nice also- less formal with good italian style food. IMO you cannot compare the food and service in the MDR with Q'sine which is great.

Next Sunday, we will be boarding the summit!
