Just back of Azura, no boarding times were adhered to at all !!

Had a boarding time of 3.30 and was quite prepared to dump luggage and go for lunch nearby.

Parked up car took luggage to porters about 12.30. Had a quick peek upstairs spoke to one of the staff who gave us a letter even though i pointed out we were a 3.30 board, and the reply was dont worry youll be on soon!!

13.30 onboard with glass of wine inhand.

People were just being given lettered cards as they arrived and were then beieing called in alpabetical order, all ran smoothly everyone happy !!

That sounds like it used to be but a later boarding time. Very odd !!

Sounds as though the G4S staff have got fed up with trying to make a sows ear of a system work and are doing their own thing.

P&O have always said they won't hold people back unnecessarily and slot early passengers in when they can, giving priority to those who arrive at their allocated time and to the coaches.. So it depends on how many people arrive early and how many are already there as to how quickly early arrivals get through.

We were given a boarding time of 3pm for our 22nd July cruise on Ventura, we arrived at 2.55 and waited an hour before we checked in! We didn't expect to walk straight through but if P&O are going to insist that we stick to boarding times (don't arrive early and don't arrive late!) then they should stick to them as well after all we are the ones paying. They should go back to the old system of first come, first served and stop trying to be Big Brother!
