Firefly Fan Posted September 19, 2016 #26 Share Posted September 19, 2016 Are you on the trans Atlantic cruise? Unfortunately not, just a 7 night trip to Spain, Portugal and France. Would like to go on a trans Atlantic cruise, just not got round to it yet.
frenchmartiniplease Posted September 19, 2016 #27 Share Posted September 19, 2016 Azura is our favourite ship (though not had a bad trip on any others), she is a good fit for us. Not too big but big enough for an excellent choice of bars and dining options. We're looking forward to our Transatlantic trip to the Caribbean on Azura 28th October. It's extra special as we will be in a suite for the first time and our son has decided to come along. He will be in an inside cabin right next door.:D:D
swaddy Posted September 19, 2016 #28 Share Posted September 19, 2016 Marmite out on display at breakfast in the buffet and you only had to ask in the dining room for it to be supplied. Took them a couple of minutes to fetch it. Did miss the thick fried bread though, the thin round stuff just was not the same. Room steward didn't take the contents of the mini bar away, they just got left on the coffee table. I needed the room for fresh milk for tea, UHT just does not taste the same. Liked the Headliners and they made good use of the acrobatic girl, gave the shows a different twist. Only show I was not too keen on was the disco music show, just didn't think it suited the company as well as the other shows.
dgs1956 Posted September 19, 2016 #29 Share Posted September 19, 2016 azura really did us proud when we went with some first time p&o friends last weekend on a mini cruise on azura... - everything was very clean and shining. (had to scramble under the bed to find an earring and it was spotless) - the mini bar in the cabin was fully stocked even for the 3 night cruise and at decent prices. - the menu in the restaurants showed the p&o classics/favourites in a seperate category once again. - all food - even the pizzas, burgers and grab'n go - was really delicious and beautifully presented. Beef wellington perfectly cooked according to taste, vegetables plentiful and perfect, beans only appeared once. - had some lovely wines in the glass house - embarkation and disembarkation and tender trips to guernsey all very very well organised - excellent service from all staff - as ever. - and the headliners show new to us, so we were delighted! - our friends were very impressed :) well done azura :) love it !!!!! PRINCESSTHE BEST Posted September 20, 2016 #32 Share Posted September 20, 2016 (edited) We sailed on her when she was new to the fleet and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice to know she is still in good shape. The sea screen is ace! We are hoping that she will be doing a world cruise in 2019.:):) Edited September 20, 2016 by PRINCESSTHE BEST
