Cozumel 7am (6am) arrival question

We are sailing on the Magic and the time in Port is 7 to 3. Would that mean Cozumel time is really 6 to 2 if we stay on ship time? Doesn't seem like enough time to go to a beach so would appreciate it knowing what everyone else does for beach time on that schedule?? Thanks!!

Still plenty of time to go to the beach. Go around 9 ( it will be hot out ) stay till 1. Believe me, four hrs and you will be ready to get back out of the sun. :)

Thanks! That is true 4 hours in the sun is enough! Do you know if the shops would be open before we got a taxi to a beach?

Be sure to keep your watches set to ship time. Even our iPhones somehow reset themselves automatically when we got to Cozumel, even though we had them on airplane mode. I'm glad my DH was wearing a watch, or we would have assumed our iPhones were still on ship time!

We have docked at Puerta Maya and Punta Langosta and each time the shops there have been open, no matter how early.

I agree. Better rely on your watches that are set to ship's time.

I should have said that the stores " in town " will not be open. The shops right at the pier should be. :(

You are correct, the stores at the pier will be open but if one goes downtown then the stores will not open until around 10am ship time. We made the mistake of going downtown too early once and there was nothing open!
