NJporkroll Posted October 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2016 I have read so many post on various boards on CC that people have called the cruise line about paying for an upgrade at a highly discounted rate. awestover89 Posted October 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2016 What you can check for is keep an eye on the price of rooms above yours in category, especially after final payment. You can't get a price drop, but if you booked say a ocean view for $1000 per person, and after final payment see a balcony for $1100 per person, you can usually pay the difference and upgrade. What happens if the price of a balcony is lower than the category that you had booked (let's say at $900 in your example), would you still be able to upgrade?
